Doc's Downtown - Survey Sez... - Blurb from 3/26/25

 Greetings all, Allen here filling in for George with the newsletter.  I want to thank you all for bearing with me while I figured out the sound system at Doc’s.  I’d also like to thank you all for the warm welcome!  

Speaking of thanks, perhaps it was Muddbudg that was the most thankful to see me on the evening, at least in the first half, as they got out to a two-point lead over second place Around the Bay and five points ahead of Amigos.

Things kept breaking their way in the second half such that they carried a one-point lead over Amigos heading into the final.  RNR and Around the Bay were only two points behind the lead, setting up what was sure to be an exciting finale.

Teams were tasked to name a US city that people would want to visit with New York City being the favorite.  Only one team answered the question correctly yet bet zero on their answer.  To be fair, who knew Washington DC would be the second most desired destination within the US?  I didn’t!  the zero bet didn’t cost Muddbudg the win fortunately as they were already in first place.  Congratulations to Muddbudg for the win, and well played all.

Last week, we absolutely packed Doc's. Fifty players spread across ten teams made it a shoulder-to-shoulder Survey Sez showdown. In the end, it was Snozberries game to lose as they held a three-point lead going into the final question. Correct answers on the final question came from two teams, and the wagering was sufficient enough to lift them to the top. Congrats to Been There Done That on their trip back to the winner's circle. Doc's Downtown - Survey Sez - 10/19/22

We were back at it again last Wednesday, playing the old Survey! Nine teams took their shot at SS glory. Leading most of the game were newcomers, Rada, who had developed a sizable lead as we wrapped up round six. It was their game to lose, and that's just what they did. The newbies just couldn't come up with a correct answer on the final question, and a large wager cost them the game. Congrats to The Oxford Files who answered the final question correctly and rode their all-in wager all the way to the winner's circle! Let's do it again this Wednesday, shall we? Say, 7:00?
